well ok, i decided to share with you all what my next conversion will be. seems how its going to be a while before its totally complete.
im not a fan of the sculpted cape. its cool dont get me wrong. but it seems out of place due to the rest of the costume being made of material.
so im going to do what i wanted SS to do in the first place. and thats make a real cape out of very thin leather with a satin lining. and its going to be fairly long.
so a few days ago i finished phase 1 where i sculpted and filled in the cavity left by the key of the cape.
these are early wip pics. but the finished piece is altered just a smidgin more here and there. but you can get the idea of what im doing.
im sort of stuck right now and cannot proceed until i get the piece of leather which i should have this week.
as soon as i do and i fit all the material where it needs to be. ill bake the clay. and then ill make a mold and then cast the piece in resin so it will be more durable. so ill be able to work with it and the leather with the satin lining.
and please bare with me. i am no professional sculptor by any means. i just needed the basic shape so that the cape will flow over him properly/naturally.
so you wont even see what i sculpted anyway..lol
hopefully i can pull this off.
