Future of Van Halen?
Just saw this tonight, it was posted yesterday 3/8/07 by Eddie Van Halen on the VH site:

"I would like Van Halen fans to know how much I truly appreciate each and every one of you. Without you there is no Van Halen.

I have always and will always feel a responsibility to give you my best. At the moment I do not feel that I can give you my best. That’s why I have decided to enter a rehabilitation facility to work on myself, so that in the future I can deliver the 110% that I feel I owe you and want to give you.

Some of the issues surrounding the 2007 Van Halen tour are within my ability to change and some are not. As far as my rehab is concerned, it is within my ability to change and change for the better. I want you to know that is exactly what I’m doing, so that I may continue to give you the very best I am capable of.

I look forward to seeing you in the future better than ever and I thank you with all my heart.

oh man...thats way to sad....wow...he is frightening looking.....i know he had cancer (correct me if im wrong)...but wow...

arent they suppoesed to be getting back with David lee as well?

They were just inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame and Sammy Hagar was the only one who showed up. Michael Anthony was thrown out of the band and Eddie's son Wolfgang is taking his place. David is supposedly coming back for a reunion tour but I don't know about this rehab thing and what it will do to it.

Holy ****, that picture is horrible. I believe he had cancer of the tongue, which may explain the missing teeth, and the haggard appearance (partially). But then of course there's all the years of drug/alcohol abuse. He's only 52 and he looks like the freakin' Vault Keeper.

Eddie needs to have another kid to pass his guitar skills to, or even clone Wolfgang or Eddie himself.
