In a pretty bad reprint form. When I say bad, they're still quite readable & beyond fun when reading. Amazon is where I bought the entire set over time. Gwandanaland is the reprint publisher, & if you're interested, buy the collected editions (usually 3 issues each). There's a volume order & they're pretty damn affordable. You can get the complete series, of all 3 titles for around $200. Spread that over a couple months of buying & reading & you'll end up with a great collection. Buying true back issues will cost you some pretty big bucks.

Before I go on, I want to take a step back & mention that Nightmare #8 has one of the best comic-horror-stories I've ever read. Hung-Up with story & art by Bruce Jones is a fantastic crime/horror story with art so good it blew me away. Killer ending. The issue also has a review of the Amicus' film, Tales From The Crypt which is a ton-o-fun.

On with the show -

If you're at all familiar with horror movies from the 70's, you'll be sure to notice the visual & thematic connections that horror comics, especially the b&w magazines, share with them. Everything from the Hammer & Amicus studios films, to the made-for-tv horror films that we 70's kids watched on Friday & Sat. nights, The Exorcist, The Omen, Soylent Green, The Omega Man, the Roger Corman' movies, Vincent Price films etc... can all be seen, in homage or in theft, within the pages of Skywald & others. So, if you like the 70's cinematic scares, you'll love these books. Onward with Nightmare -

13) Another great one & a cover that's influenced my Halloween yard decorating in the past -

Tried to get that Nightmare Volume 13, could only find it on Kindle. Do any other places besides Amazon have those?

There are 7 volumes of Psycho, 7 volumes of Nightmare & 3 volumes of Scream, each roughly containg 3-4 issues of the mags., in order. Maybe it's because you were searching for a V. 13. If you can't find them on Amazon, check Gwandanaland to see if they have a sale site or can link you. I'm seeing a lot available on Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/s?k=gwandanal..._sb_ss_fb_1_25

but make sure you look for the collected editions containing more than 1 issue.

We're wrapping up on Nightmare (I'll leave the final & one of the very best for tomorrow). More than Scream & Psycho, Nightmare released more "special" issues. I found them to be just that, with a little more story, a few more frights & a tad better quality of tale than just the regular issues.
