I have posted similar stuff on Sideshow Freaks forum and got a response from someone so thought I would share here just to let people get a better idea about me
Someone wrote "it's unscrupulous posting here just to get subscribers. Professional, nice channel but, if your in to make money that won't happen, unfortunately."
My response was:
First, apologies for posting in the wrong section, I'm not too familiar with this forum but that's a lame excuse.
Second, thanks for the professional and nice channel comment, that's awesome, much appreciated, and humbling.
Third, I didn't start my channel to make money, I'm a collector and just a regular joe soap, I've been collecting for years but I don't know anybody else into collecting statues (or into anime) so have been collecting in the "dark" since I started. So my channel was a way for me to reach out and try to join in in the collecting community. I had been traveling with work and found I got into the habit of just opening my statues and just putting them into the cabinets and that's it, I wasn't enjoying the statues the way or as much as I thought I should, making these videos is also a way to change that, I spend more time appreciating the statues and thinking about them etc.
My videos are probably a bit stuffy so maybe that's why you think I am some sort of store or company or money grabber or something, maybe I will loosen up over time or maybe that's just who I am, I'm not sure. I try to provide high quality images of the statues for other collectors to enjoy, maybe assist them in making decisions whether to buy a statue or not, and just for fans of the statues who are not collectors. I'm new to making videos so hopefully my vids evolve and become a bit more fun.
Would I like subscribers - YES, it validates the efforts I put into the videos, and makes me feel good, is that such a bad thing, is it shameless to put the videos in collectors forums, I don't think so but if people don't want me posting them I will stop - I am not here to pee on anyone's chips
