Castle of Cagliostro sounds like a Lupin the III movie to me...
But never really get into Lupin the III shows, watch the TV series occasionally but that's about it, can't really stand his monkey-resemblance face.

Yep, Cagliostro is a Lupin movie - IMO the best one. I think one of the charms is his funny looks

Lupin was one of my favorite shows. Castle was the best of the movies. most of the original season(green jacket) was done by the Studio Ghibli man himself, Miyazaki. it's a cool little fact, like Jack Kirby doing the in-betweens for the original Popeye shorts.
also, monkey face was probably intentional..the original artist went by the name of Monkey Punch.
