It's a good series. I would only reccommend it if you're into the more artsy psychological stuff. Lots of stuff in the series left up to viewer interpretation.

Boogiepop Phantom is pretty interesting. i have the manga, i haven't finished it, but from what understand the anime is a continuation. the central figures are high school kids, but the recurring character is a Shinigami(Death God/Reaper.)
loose stories revolving around ghosts and death, but they all come together into one central event.
like i said, i haven't finished the manga, but when i do, i'll watch the anime, then possible dig up the live-action flick.
