Questions people have about why people get banned?

Well, seems like another "How the Forum Works" thread is in order, specifically concerning the topic of bannings. I'm going to leave this thread open for people to make comments if they wish, but don't expect any specific answers about members.

The fact of the matter is that bannings (or "suspensions" if you will) are handed out for many reasons.

1) Blatent breaking of posted/understood rules. This includes anything from B/S/T violations, being argumentative, cursing/vulgar postings, general disruptive behavior, spamming.... Newer members are given the benefit of the doubt and contacted about first infractions.

2) A member is seen to be a detriment to the forum. No positive contributions, members complaining about the individual, constantly questioning the Mods/Admins. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and we welcome them, but if you are asked to stop doing/saying something, then stop. Plainly put, if you're not going to enjoy the site and only be a bother to us, you're out.

3) Participating in illegal/questionable activities, on OR off the forum. We simply don't want to have any affiliation with individuals whom we (the Mods) view as "shady". This doesn't include sculptors sculpting a licensed character for fun or very small, limited run type stuff (which we prefer not to know about anyway). But if you're making/selling recasts, illegally producing product or otherwise engaged in improper activities, you're out.

Ok, I think that covers just about everything. Obviously some of these reasons could be open to interpretation, and the Mods are constantly discussing the guidelines we use for running the forum. But it must be made absolutely clear that it is not the place of the forum members to question or challenge our decisions. If there is a rule you don't understand, ask us. If you want to ask us if something is ok, ask us. If you want to know why someone was banned, forget it.

I'm not going to ask why your marriage sucks or why you got fired from your job or why you don't get along with your dog. How you run your life is your business, and how the Mods run this forum is ours. I'm not saying this to be an ass, I'm saying it because that's the way it is.

Ok, post away.

I think the mere THOUGHT of you being in the buff is reason enough to consider it
