Huge fan of musicals here...
Singin' in The Rain
Fiddler on The Roof
The Wizard of Oz
The Pajama Game (or pretty much any Doris Day musical)
An American in Paris
Grease
The Muppet Movie
The Rocky Horror Picture Show
Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory
Hedwig and The Angry Inch
Cry-Baby
I love it when I watch one for the first time and realize it's the source of a song I've known throughout my life.

I have to admit, I'm not a fan of musicals either. I can endure an onstage musical (my wife dragged me to Wicked recently), but not in a movie.

Redline (2009) - A short fun ride, but feels lacking in closure. Lots of story elements are brought up within the movie, but barely touched on and then the movie just ends. It's a really pretty movie with loads of style, but it's hard to rate it highly due how it feels unfinished. I'd give it 7/10, but I'd be leaning more towards 6 or even 5 if it wasn't for the art style.

Before I go to sleep (2014) Nicole Kidman suffers from short term amnesia and must start over each day without the memories of the previous day. But there is a sinister element. A by the book thriller with nothing really new or groundbreaking. Considering the cast I was disappointed. 5/10

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Swamp Thing (1982) - 6/10
Anybody that's expecting this to be up to todays standard of comic book movies would be greatly disappointed. If you take this for what it is, a 80's b-movie sci fi action creature feature, then its fairly good.
I actually like The Return of Swamp Thing better. One of those SO BAD ITS HORRIBLE but funny movies.

Big Eyes (2014) - A drama about the awakening of the painter Margaret Keane, her phenomenal success in the 1950s, and the subsequent legal difficulties she had with her husband, who claimed credit for her works in the 1960s.
It could have used more of Tim Burton's trademark quirk. 6/10

Larry Crowne ~ 2/5
It was the very definition of a mediocre movie and the thrown together 'romance' between Hanks and Roberts was never really needed in the film. Regardless, the film still brought a slight grin to my face as it had some charm underneath the rough patches. Its worth a watch on 'date night', but don't expect it to blow you away

Metropolitan (1990) - A group of young upper-class Manhattanites are blithely passing through the gala debutante season, when an unusual outsider joins them and stirs them up.
This is a charming little indie. I'd like to see how Whit Stillman directs more experienced actors than the mostly unknowns here though so I'll check out his later films, The Last Days of Disco and Damsels in Distress at some point. 7/10
