Absolutely. For most, it's a big one. I have a bunch 1/1 stuff but I'd still consider it big. Just wait and see people's reaction.

I certainly think it's big enough though, 1:3 would've been a bit too big for this particular piece.

The Aliens Power Loader is up. $1199.95. From the HCG site:

Quote:
“Get away from her, you b!tch"

The Caterpillar P-5000 Powered Work Loader, commonly referred to as a Power Loader, is a commercial mechanized anthropomorphic Exoskeleton used for lifting heavy materials and objects. More importantly it was also used by Ripley to defeat the Alien Queen!

Painstakingly recreated from the original blueprints, no detail has been spared to make this the most accurate Power Loader replica ever made.

Presented for the first time ever as a Studio Scale model - exactly the same size as the model used in filming the movie! Standing an imposing 33” tall, and 25” wide this truly is an EpicTM scale model!

Amazingly detailed, it features a webbing operator harness made of real material, a working light-up hazard light on top, and an accurate weathered finish.

As with all Hollywood Collectibles pieces this museum quality Studio Scale model is constructed from heavyweight polystone and mixed media, then hand painted to the finest detail.

The centerpiece of anyone’s Aliens collection!

Sculpted by Alterton. Paint by Jason Eaton

Dimensions: 33" Tall x 25" Wide Approx.

Edition Size: 1000

Availability: Pre-Order

Estimated Ship Date: 2nd Qtr 2015

While it will mostly be a must have for me but for the size, I expect more details. From what I saw at SDCC, I wasn't wowed by it. But, I'll most likely get it later on.

At $1200+ and 1350 pcs(TOO DAMN HIGH)...one can totally wait for real world pics. They have a lot of great licenses but they are just not doing the best they could with them in terms of presentation.

I'd love to see behind the scene or proof about this claim. Same thing with the APC. I don't doubt the artists work on prototypes, but the fact is that these will end up being painted and assembled by factory works. It's the accuracy and authenticity that needs to be proven.

Did anyone ever purchase the APC? It's been out for a while now and haven't seen any postings about it.

There's a video on YouTube but the poster doesn't speak good English and it looks like there were a few problems with his. Wobbly cannons, rounded edges and the wheels didn't line up.

I picked an Exclusive APC up with the 20% off memorial day sale.

There is some play in the cannons but they are fine for what they need to do. I don't plan on needing to position them again for a long time.
