This was not a fun statue to unbox. It was more like a puzzle at times than a statue. I think Prime 1 hired Ikea to write those assembly instructions.
I also ran into an issue with the right hip spawn not fitting in correctly.
Even with that issue, I absolutely love this piece! It is a beast. I am going to display him without the spawn behind his head. That piece took away from the portrait.

Completely happy with my purchase. Was worried about the tendrils being a pain, but it actually wasn’t that bad. I wished they would have maybe color coded them to make putting it together a bit faster, but really just a nitpick on my part. No breakage, no paint chipping. The plastic webs even went in perfect. One tendril by his left hand doesn’t key into the pipe like it’s supposed to, but I couldn’t be more satisfied. Love this piece.

To top it off, it seems their replacement pieces are always subpar when compared to the normal production run. I feel they were rejected pieces from the factory that someone said, “Eh, good enough as a free replacement.”

So after heating up the piece, did it at least resolve the issue you were having with the piece keying in correctly?
It’s unfortunate that it’s required, but at least it was printed on the instruction page that it’s possible.
And Prime 1 can be terrible in regards to replacement pieces. I have purchased a dozen or so full Prime 1 pieces (plus a lot of Transformer busts), and I’ve had to get replacements on three occasions. They were eventually remedied (which is good), but it took from 4 to 12 months (possibly longer but I’ll have to check my records) to receive the replacement part.
And I currently have a dozen Prime 1 pieces on preorder.

Hm, i still like the anatomy of the xm piece the most.

It fixed the one that wouldn’t key. I also had to do it for a piece of webbing. I glued the broken tendril, but I am still going to get a replacement piece as the break wasn’t clean and you can see the crack.

The piece is outstanding!!!
Perfect as is. It really is a diorama undercredited
I’m going to enjoy him the way I do though.
I started messing with him a little to make him towards the way I envision him.

Yikes dude. Im sorry to say, but you ruined it. I thought that was a factory screw up until I re-read your post. Looked far better untouched.
Anyways, this piece is a home run! Congrats to Prime 1 on a stellar Venom statue! And congrats to everyone who got this piece. I got mine Thursday. Its a jaw dropper!!
