The glove adjustment pose is my favorite so far.

My #1 suggestion.

Art by Daigo Ikeno. To me this would be the definitive Ryu. And this massive body style would only be accentuated by Jerry's skill at crafting intricate anatomy.

Also notice the 'thick' appearance of the belt and Gi. This costume in 1/3 mixed media would be without equal.

However, since I realize the pose of him gripping his Gi may be too difficult to pull off, here is my #2 suggestion.

This is by an artist that I recently became aware of. And he is incredible! On Twitter he is Yoshihara_Game.

His art style is ridiculously cool. And I think this picture shows all of the mass in Ryu's arms, pulls off the folded arm look, and keeps his eyes open.

Holding his bag or glove adjustment all the way. If we do see a evil ryu variant it will probably look like alpha but I wonder if it will have light up eyes like akuma. I don't think it will as it would make the construction of the two statues very different. I wonder if it will just be a normal ryu release like the mortal kombat 1/3 releases.

Akuma's guard is relaxed/dropped. NOT ready to fight...

I hope that's Ryu's eventual path, but that artist jumped the gun. Probably won't see that appearance until, oh say...SFX.
