Mod warning post 137 ARH Red Sonja WIP Diorama!!! Pics!!!

This is from ARH's forum. I like the direction. This has the potential to take my money if it does indeed get done!

Impressive so far, but still far from finished! This is a dynamic statue in every sense of the word. This is the kind of statue making I want to see in this hobby.

This is the direct quote from ARH.

When ARH Studios thinks of license, this is the type of work we go for!

We present to you our RED SONJA project. Sculpted by Alex Pereira and to be released at the Comic Con 2013!

We are still depending of licensor approval, so there is a long way to go before you can add this to your collection. So far this is still a WIP project and its completion will depend of a lot of factors, one of them being how well we do selling our 2012 statues, so you can surely contribute to make this happen too by acquiring our products through Sideshow this month of November !!

I wanted to show our fans and collectors that we mean business when it comes to licensed characters! It will be a full 1/4th scale diorama, and yes, it will be massive and expensive!

Hmmm she needs to be looking down at the gentleman she's stepping on, but otherwise I like the pose and dynamic base.

With arms outstretched and mouth wide open she looks more like a Banshee than a warrior woman. Plus she's about to take an axe to her lady parts from the look of things.

I like the idea, but the arms both outstretched pose looks rather odd to me, given the context of the rest of the diorama. Not sure about the screaming face either, but it is hard to tell from those pictures how well (or not) that will work.

I had the same thought. She's in a triumphant pose, but she hasn't taken care of business yet. She should be looking down at her foes.

Impressive concept.

I kinda like it this way. Making her look down will llimit the displayability imho. Great piece and let's see if we get the topless piece as well. We're used to that with ARH.

Just following his MO for other statues I am assuming there will be a topless version too?
