Wow, Danno...amazing work (as usual) on those tats! You're truly a master.
I just used decals for the first time on my Monster Dork Studio's "Breakfast of Champions" kit (see link below) & thought the end result came out pretty good, so that's an option.

Yep, water slide decals. Blend them in, and then give them a wash or two over with a flesh tone.

You can purchase water slide paper to print on at many different sites now. you take a pattern or image you want, shrink or enlarge it to size in photoshop or free IrFanView, print onto the transfer paper, cut it out and with water, just like a regular decal slide onto your figure.
