From the way the rep was talking in the livestream last night, it sure sounded like the 1:4 scales were going to be silicone head sculpts at least.

Is SpecFiction reliable? They have some stuff still for order that I thought was sold out... Like Queens Ledger Joker with plug-in hair.

You'll find out when you click the "add to cart" that some stuff that looks like it is still available there, is in fact sold out.
That was one of 'em last time I looked (yesterday).
But other than that quirk with their website, they are a very reliable dealer.

I watched the live stream. It got the impression their license dictated the use of the silicone for 1/4
I am not sure how i feel about having a 1/4 statue with a silicone portrait. It will be interesting to see the results. I guess it also means real hair. It all adds to higher price points.

^ Yeah, you're right. Thanks for jogging my memory.
It sounded contractual and I assumed that was the only avenue open to them if they wanted to do that scale (and busts for the females were totally off the table).
I wonder if 1:3 was available too, or if they made a calculated decision to position themselves as the premium alternative to SSC and IS?

I think their 1:4 Holland Civil War Spidey was full sculpt, so for now, I'm thinking that's the way they'll go instead of clothes with plug-in hair.
We'll see.

The portrait on their 1/4 scale Dark Knight Joker is polystone. I would think Black Widow would be the same.

Maybe. But those prior pieces were probably under a different licence arrangement. It could be that these new licences for particular brands may be structured differently.

16:35- They are currently restricted to using silicone for the heads sculpts in the US.
Maybe in a couple years, he says, referring to the use of polystone.

I’m unclear whether the 1/4 scale Black Widow is under their U.S. license or their Southeast Asia license.
