Bent lightsaber blades

Goodday!
my collection is displayed in a place without sun and no excessive light exposed to it. However, my vader and yoda lightsaber blades became bend. Im certain this wasnt the case before. Ive heard this has to do with a problem with the plastic used? Ive tried to get them replaced several times put still havent received any news on this....

some of you have the same problem?

ive made the blade next to a sheet of paper to see the bend more clearly:

There is a FAQ on the Attakus Board about it, just put them in hot water and bend them a bit to the other side. ( not like a madman)

Josh, the lightsaber blades are plastic, just like the gun's from Jango, you can warm them or with water or with a hairdryer. Warm them gentle and then you can bend the carefull in any position. When they are in the right position you can cool them down with cold water or just with some cold air.
It's very easy to do, just take it slow.

These are instructions i got from ATTAKUS when i called them.

I had this problem with my Vader II lightsaber and contacted Diego at Attakus for some advice on correcting it and he was kind enough to send me a replacement free of charge. Great customer service.

Unfortunately the strength of the plastic used for the lightsaber blades isn't strong enough to support the weight of the blade itself. And because the lightsaber's position is angled instead of vertical gravity will eventually force it to bend. One way you can prevent this is to rotate the blade every now and then. What I mean by that is to turn the blade itself inside the saber's hilt so the weight of the blade isn't always putting pressure on the same point. That way if it starts to bend one way eventually it will start bending the other way once rotated and correct itself. The trick is to do this often enough that the blade never gets a chance to bend. I've been doing this every couple of months with my new Vader II blade as well as Yoda's and its been keeping them straight. Hope that helps.

I'm pretty sure this problem has been corrected on new releases though. I've had my General Grievous around a year now and thankfully they've never shown any signs of bending.

I bought an Attakus Yoda II and I'm afraid of this thing happens to me ... I glued the blade to the hilt because the point of join was broken with force (not that force ; I mean force ... hmmm ; power of mine ) ... if that happens to me I can only use the warming way but warming is very dangereous with lightsabers .. I used that way on an unleashed saber (I think they made by the same material) and the blade become horrible because the blades aren't soft plastic and if you use more heat the blade can bend and you can't fix it ... I think the "hot water" wat is more safe but you must be careful ...

Bent lightsaber blades

Diego sent me a replacement DVII blade last year...just call or send an email.

I never tried heating the blades but I do rotate them as Hellboy pointed out.
