2014 Marvel Masterpieces (Joe Jusko Returns! all artwork by Joe)

I've been wanting this since I was 7 years old in 1992 when Joe Juskos first marvel masterpiece set came out, I grew up with those cards and still love them to this day, I just read that Joe Jusko has been commissioned to complete a 135 card masterpiece set for later on in 2014, and he will paint and complete the whole set himself, this is epic news for any old school card collectors like myself! anyone else excited about this? my biggest gripe with new marvel card sets is the lack of original artwork, seems like that wont be the case with this set thankfully

I'm really excited for this card set. I've been waiting for Marvel to do another card set with all new painted art just for the cards.

my only fear for this set is that everyone will be painted in their modern costumes, this sneak of cyclops is making me fear that even more. None the less its still Jusko paintings, im just a fan of the classic stuff

good luck man, keep us posted if you manage to get any! that would be awesome. I wonder what the original 1992 paintings go for if any are even still around.

I wish I was an artist, get paid by marvel to do the work, then sell the paintings on the side after! sweet deal!!

the 1992 ones tend to start around $3k. But most (or all??) are smaller art. He might put these up through his own site or through a dealer -- but either way my guess is these will go fast.
