Opinions Please: Women of the DCU: Mary Marvel

Hey Everyone

Could those of you out there who have the Women of the DCU, Mary Marvel MB(or Shazam - Mary, as I beleive it's named) let me know what you think of the piece.

I have the opportunity to purchase it at a really low price, but it seems a little too "cheesey" for me.

It's the only MB in the Dodson run that I don't have.

Did you buy it to complete the series? Or because you genuinely liked the sculpt? Did your opinion change after you recieved it?

Any comments would help. Thanks

If you decide to buy mary marvel, beware of the paint job. In my opinion Mary Marvel has the sloppiest paint job in the series along with jade.

But the sclupt is ok.

I like the Mary Marvel mini-bust. If you can get it cheap, I don't see how you could go wrong.

My main concern is the face. She seems a little to "Archie comics" for me. Does she fit in well with the other busts?

Does anyone have any pics of her with the rest of their Women of the DCU set?

Many thanks Junta. Nice collection you have there. I have all the Woman of the DCU MB's so far (with the exception of three from the Adam Hughes line).

I can see that Mary might fit in quite nicely if she is positioned correctly.

Thanks for your help.

Personally this is one of my favorites! I love the expression and the pose. If you want to see it from all angles, I have several pics up at my site:

Hey John,

Thanks for your pic and will head to your site after this. It's actually the face that concerns me the most (as being a little too unrealistic!)

I know that's an odd comment as we are talking about depictions of comic book characters and all1 What I mean, is that to me, she is a little to "Archie Comics" and not so much in line with the ladies that have come before her. If you know what I mean?!

interested in any comments and again - thanks for the input
