Yeah was just thinking about that and I’m really taking a side by side split screen of the two and I’m really liking that cloth cape more plus I can shift it the same direction at bats cape in the display

The other question is, if they haven't decided on a material yet for production, how different might the sculpted cape look in-hand from the prototype, if they decide to go with something like vinyl?

Again, just asking because this is the time to make the decision. I'm not trying to diminish the sculpted version.

To everyone looking at the fabric cape:

For the inexperienced getting one to look like that is an hours long nightmare and it often never really looks how you envision it.
Easy to break the thin wires as well.

remember these companies have people that shape things for appearance to make a living. What's that called again?... oh yeah sculpting!

It is the only reason I don't have Prime1's Serpentor on order. There's no way I could accomplish it looking like he was flying to suit me.

Ah we truly are at the top of the heap of 1st world problems.

I'm pretty sure hollow would be way less likely to crack.
Polystone is not a material for supporting it's own weight.

Maybe they'll use resin or PVC. Uh oh... I said it now...

I don't see resistance to a PVC cape like we see for a PVC statue as a whole.

With resin there is a middle ground between hollow and fully dense that gives it durability. Too far on either side of the spectrum and you get breakages.

It's why I chuckle at the people who want fully filled in sculpts. Not only would they be insanely heavy, they would be cracking all over the place.

My question is, why are people okay with not knowing what the material will be in this case, but not okay with it in other cases? Or is that a stupid question?

Honestly I may get both and to then give one as the best gift ever to my brother. They are looking great. Being able to adjust the fabric is huge
