It's easier and cheaper for DC to manufacture a whole bunch of extras using the same molds. The price is lower than the usual $80, too.

The original statue wasn't great as it is. The decision to try and pair the New 52 suit with a classic color scheme just makes it worse.

I can understand the rationale for using the blue/grey palette since some Batman fans like only that combo, but it's crazy for GameStop to buy a full run of 5000 statues. They did that with Injustice 2 Harley Quinn (when there was already a full run of 5000 RWB versions) and ended up clearancing them for $25. GameStop and DC need to use smaller ESes, lol.
