If TH won't ship these anywhere else, I think the right thing to do would be giving Sideshow an allotment for "internationals" only. Leaving us out like this is... disappointing.

That would be a good idea. I feel bad for the international collectors when it is tough (and pricey) to get certain pieces.

I think so, particularly considering it's not a licensing issue. At the very least I'd appreciate having the option of being told how much it would cost me to ship it my way, so I could decide for myself whether it's worth it for me or not. I mean, the UK is not that much closer to them than the country I live in.
But it seems that I will be forced to make do with getting a Black Swan statue locally if i want to... keep supporting the line. :\

The prototype was so Dynamic, I was cursing that it was such a "Must Buy."
Now an easy pass just like the XM.
The Gargoyle added to the flow of Dynamic movement of the prototype, flowing with Batman off the side of the building. Now it's faced against the motion, huh?
The positioning of the feet made sense as Batman was lunging forward to throw the Batarang, now that he's upright, one foot should be planted firm, like the Quarterback, WB envisions Batman to be.

thank you for posting those side by side Shogun
I think both look great but I do think the first one looked better
However, if I was going to get this statue the change in design would not stop me from doing so

Serious question, does anybody like the revised sculpt better than the old? Doesn't seem like it. What was the reason for this change again? Because it definitely seems like a step backwards considering I remember them saying at one point that the goal was to give the people a Batman they would love and would be the best yet. Or words to that affect.

the tippy toe thing does not bother me at all. I actually do not understand why that is bothering people so much but I am sure that there are some things about some statues that bother me and other people would be like "why is that bothering you" or "I never notice it till now but it is not a big deal"
like I said, I think both are very good-the first was a little better but I do think that the 2nd one is very good
what I think would be cool would be if they took the original design and used it for a Nightwing statue (long overdue). I believe Bowen took a rejected Captain America statue design and made it into the Thunderbird statue.

For me, the OG pose was quite literally a statue of Batman in action, ready to throw the batarang at whichever villain he was looking down upon. The new pose looks like he's posing for the camera. It's more feminine and almost dainty looking. Also, I like the proportions of the OG (the new, his head almost looks too small for his body). I don't like the addition of the fake smoke on the new. I also think the original cape looks 10 times better.
I'm most likely not buying this piece at all. And I was 100% in on the original. So, this might make me also just sell off my Ivy and Joker, because what's the point of having them with no Batman?
And, quite frankly, it pisses me off that they had the nerve to try and insult my intelligence by claiming the pose hadn't changed at all.

Did I see a post where long-ear portraits will be included with both colors?

We will never know why they changed it. We have theories. Or maybe it?s just me that has a theory - Sideshow has a Batman coming that looked similar to the original design and WB/SS requested changes to the TH version. It would also explain why SS is not allowing this to be made in 1:4. If TH was allowed to make the original pose and in 1:4, it would have crushed all 1:4 Batman statues out there. Even the gargoyle was better on the original - it looks mad and murderous.
What makes me laugh is how on FB, TH tried to claim the poses are the same and Northern called them out on it. In this day and age, why even try that when you know we screenshot/save images? Come on now.

You're right Demona, the gargoyle on the OG base does look better too. It's more menacing.
