When PCS commissioned this they gave me reference & guidelines, everything has to be approved by both Jerry & Mattel. Obviously I try to bring some of my own vision to a piece, especially as a MOTU fan.

You can see some of the reference in this picture to give you an idea:

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Thanks Jon Always love hearing the thought process of what goes on behind the scenes. Very cool, hope you have some more MOTU stuff in the pipeline.

Have to say, Battlecat is even bigger than I thought it was gonna be!
Great work Jon, looks like there is a seam at the neck is that for a switch-out head with the battle helmet ?

Also did you sculpt the Kessler Wolf for PCS ?

Thanks. Yes, there's a seam for the switch-out helmet. So cool that we got the snarling head, not just a mask. It would have been a shame to hide all that detail.

Nope, the Kessler Wolf isn't mine. Would have been cool but I've enjoyed the break from sculpting fur after sculpting so much on Battlecat!
