It should be noted that her right foot doesn't touch the base, at least on mine it doesn't. So the entire statue is on one leg. Depending where the center of gravity is on the statue it might put torsional stress on her left amkle. I'm going to see if i have something to place on her right toes.

Good point. I hadn't thought of all the weight of the statue being on the leg that attaches to the base.

It likely won't matter if you put something under her right toe as the weight of the piece leans forward not backwards. The left foot and bottom of the spear gun that extends past/off the base is supporting her weight.

Exactly, the spear gun is the other support.

My spear gun hovers about 1/4 inch. It doesn't provide support on mine.

I put a sandwich of a couple of thin clear rubber round pieces under her right foot to give myself a little peace of mind.

The spear gun is supposed to be on the base

EDIT: I just noticed you assembled the base backwards. That is why the spear gun isn't resting on the base. The numbered edition should be in the backside. I did the same thing the first time I assembled mine

Now can we agree that camera focal length and lighting matters?

Great model and great photos, jedi_don

I disagree. If I'd seen Jedi-dons photo's at the start I may have been convinced to buy, however, when unboxing the statue, my perspective would have been similar to the original photos and I would have been underwhelmed. Jedi-dons photos are nicely staged and taken from a distance.....I dare say Quasimodo looked good from a certain distance

What's good about this whole thing, is that those NOT put off by the original photos can rest assured that, certainly, under specific conditions (not all) the statue looks OK. For others, the original photos provided enough "warning" to make a purchase decision, and if you wanted a perfect match to the prototype (and why shouldn't you?) you could save yourself the hassle and disappointment.
