If true that is a scary percentage. I remember getting food poisoning once and thinking some scumbag cook didn't wash his/her hands.

•1 in 3 E.coli occurrences is caused from not washing hands before handling food.

Ok after reading that link I'm definitely going the way of Patrick Stewart. I used to think Stromberg in The Spy Who Loved Me was just being crazy. But I was always leaning towards having an assistant tell someone I prefer not to shake hands too. Now it's a rule. Forget being rude. 1/3 is far too many people. Those other stats are crazy too.

I watch Chef Ramsay tear restaurants apart about keeping rotten food and other poor hygiene. But not washing hands is still something that is so unbelievable it's shocking. Only once have I noticed a girl come out of a bathroom without me hearing the sound of water. I left in a hurry...
