Devil's advocate time so if you go to where these sharks are swimming and they kill you or worse is it your fault or the shark?
Reason I ask is I was thinking about the thread about the bear attack.

Its never the sharks fault. If you go into the ocean you just put yourself on the menu.

that is my fault. there is no socializing with a shark. there is nothing for them to get used to. sealife is just that and has no business getting along with us. land life on the other hand needs to learn to coexist or die.

If the shark ends up getting you, make sure your wife comes to the forum to tell us all about it.

i will. i found a buddy to go out tomorrow, now i hope he can keep his nerve.

it isn't that dangerous really. i have a huge 130 tank as does my buddy. we walk out and once the water is overhead start swimming. so no surface swim. after tha if we see him we will be on the bottom where they normally dont look for food. we wont have any shark food with us besides our arms and we wont be taking pics or touching it. the reality is he will know where we are but i doubt we se him. viz is only about 20-30' right now so he would have to be close

See the problem is once some human gets killed then they want to hunt and kill the animal..
