I would start with Street Fighter, its easier to get into. But if you like fast pace I'd start with Marvels VS. games. Either way you can't go wrong. Both games are fun. But I like the Marvel vs series more, best of both worlds

MvC is mental. It's a lot of button pressing. The combos are like playing the piano....very fast.
It's fun and flashy and people get crazy hype for it (especially in the US).
I prefer Street Fighter. For me it's ultimate fighting game in terms of pace. mechanics, simplicity with depth. It requires skill and dedication but it's also a lot of fun and easy to pick up and play.

Thanks for the reply to my Final Fight question in the other thread. I wanted to reply, but not clog up the question thread.
I sadly agree with you. As much as I love FF, it probably wouldn't sell.
Frankly I'd rather not get the line if it meant my favorite company would lose money trying to produce them.
It's a shame though. Final Fight has some great characters that didn't make the jump to Street Fighter.
