Why is Lee not doing Canvas? Also still can't find this piece on the site.

If you're talking about finding this piece on my site, I've been trying to "whip" my new webguy into getting these updates done. You'll notice I don't have Black Cat up there either. UGHH.

Anyway, it doesn't have anything to do with Jim Lee...Clampett makes the decisions about images and what format they're released on. I suspect it is just too expensive to do it on canvas because they would be pricing it over $1200 or so, and its hard to justify charging that for artists other than Alex Ross. I guess Clampett decided to make the paper giclee SUPER HUGE and do that instead.

Its always possible some of the other Jim Lee images will be done on canvas (Knigh----ch, For Tomorrow), but I believe they WON'T...most Jim Lee fans don't seem too motivated to spend those kinds of dollars.

Unfortunately, I don't remember the original retail for this item. Probably around $400. I have sold the "cel" version of this piece in the past for $300 framed, but at conventions they always sold quickly, so I probably under-priced them (that actually happens a lot!).

The auction is probably a tad on the "high" side, but not outrageous. If you live in Europe it could be a great pick-up. Again, shipping it back to the states would make it prohibitive (IMHO).

Of course, so many collectors missed the boat on this image before (even though they produced it in a million formats) that demand will stay high for a very long time, perhaps even driving the price up more!

Do you have any more in stock. I have a poster version and its huge. But i'd prefer a higher quality if available.

SirConor
I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.
