DC Designer Series - Mike Mignola - Batman
Mike Mignola might be best known as the creator of Hellboy and the B.P.R.D. — and he just unveiled the first look at David Harbour as his famous creation on Wednesday — but he also spent some time drawing the Dark Knight both on covers and in books like Batman, Detective Comics, Cosmic Odyssey, and, most famously, 1989’s Gotham by Gaslight, which has been adapted as an upcoming animated feature.
This particular statue, which stands 13.15 inches tall, is based on the previous Batman: Black and White Mignola piece, but now larger and in full color! Limited to 5,000 pieces, the Jonathan Matthews-sculpted statue will debut next April and sport a suggested retail price of $150.

I have the second edition B&W version, but I will get this one too. Mignola is one of my favorite artists. Wish they would make Gaslight Bats in his style though.

It's cool they're doing this but the Black and White is enough for me. Though I agree with Mister H. A Gotham by Gaslight Batman in this scale would be amazing and an instant purchase.
I'll go even further though and say it doesn't even have to be Mignola. I'll take just about any of the different artists that have done the Gaslight look, I just want one.

I love the origanal art that the statue was based on & the original statue certainly is in the top 5 B&W statues if not at the top. The way that drawing became 3D is breathtaking
But for me personally, this is a sketch that does not work here, at least in colour.it is the opposite of Harley in that she HAD to have colour, this screams monochrome. The belt looks awful, the blue is Ok-ish. But they should have just left everthing exatly the same as the origanal, minus the skin colour
My guess is that the Gotham by Gaslight film will come out around the same time so it's marketing
We still ne GL, more villains, something from Perez & Kirby, GA, Darwyn Cooke selina,

I really like the way this new color version looks. I liked the two B&W versions but I don't like that scale (and I like it better in color) so this is a big win.
