No. That won't work. Marvel will say that the banana peel was "Magic" and that she wasn't dead only transported to Mars to live amongst the Tharks.

The bullet needs to be very carefully aimed and the trigger pulled, and Aunt May finally needs to be laid to rest. Permanently.

With that done, Marvel can resurrect Gwen Stacy.

Almost everybody listed thus far would have large and long lasting implications to their respective comics universe as a whole.

The Sentry, Red Hulk, and Dazzler (Sorry Barbarian) are footnote characters at best, that don't affect the status quo of anything. It's a wasted bullet.

That's whats brilliant about this thread. If this What If were viable, you'd have the option to make a dramatic change to an entire comics universe. Daredevil, the Joker, The REAL Hulk, Aunt May, or Superman. Their deaths would trigger a butterfly effect that would make for great storytelling.

Of course that's my perspective. Others will differ.
