I have no ethical quandary with it if it's not something you could otherwise buy. I have a nice canvas print of a piece of art from Breath of the Wild that wasn't available otherwise.

Edit: Never mind, apparently I'm confused. I didn't realize this was for an actual licensed canvas. I wasn't aware they're that expensive.

It's hard to not put today's perspective on things, and you're spot on with how it look based on todays images.

However, as this was created before the world of selfies, I will give Mr. Ross credit for just creating a great beautiful piece of art - filter free with great elemental coloring.

Is someone from Sideshow really the best person to be preaching about ethics?

If this conversation was being had prior to smartphones I would have said "family photo" instead of "selfie." Cameras have been around for a long time.

I wasn't trying to disparage the art though, Alex Ross is incredibly talented.

Yikes. Then again, this comes from the employee of a company that uses a robot to sign their prints and acts like it's the same thing as having the artist sign it.

I will just call it out and say that I do appreciate the Sideshow team participating in the dialog on this forum and wish there was more. It is unfortunate though that as an employee it appears you may also shoulder the decisions and public relations of the company that may not be yours to decide. I get the feeling that Sideshow employees would like to say more but the risks outweigh the need for opinions.

My opinions are all over the map with Sideshow but they are subjective to the pieces and not the people involved.

So with that said and my point, I get it why we don't get more participation from the Sideshow folks. Or their feedback. But I do appreciate it when we do.

Although I will say that Mr Igo may have touched some sensitive feathers there.

That is all.

Eh...

He’s right that it’s not ethical.

Having said that, if you’re going to pick and choose your battles on here, you’re going to take the flack for the stuff you won’t go near for being too hot.

Not saying that’s right, but hey... internets and all that. Lol
