Even compared to Prime 1, it leaves him no chance. The number of teeth, the tongue, the overall coloring, and the detailing are beating up on competitors. I hope everything will be consistent.

Yeah, I honestly see very little that could make me pass on this.
I had and sold the first XM Venom. Didn't like the second one enough, for the price. Never liked any SS, or most customs. The Prime 1 heads were nice, but the body proportions were whack.
This is hard to beat, imo.

I absolutely agree with everything, I've never liked the proportions of the Prime 1 either.
But I didn't sell the first Venom XM, I still like it, I think it's a great statue, obviously better than the Prime 1 or SS.
Waiting maybe a best Venom statue

If this one turns out as advertised, I doubt I'll get rid of it. But certainly, a better statue is always out there...

I was doing some surfing, and ended up going down a rabbit hole...and discovered that this statue was commissioned for a group called Fandom Collectibles. This statue does indeed have a transformation head, as well as a McFarlane head.
Apparently Pin Jiang are either recasters or paid for the STL file, or are outright stealing the design and doing a small run.
In fact, I'm not sure that those 'update' pictures posted earlier weren't from the original commission, which is why they showed the web pads painted differently from the first shots. Further evidence for that is that the background from those pics appears to be in a collector's collection room, NOT a paint or production studio...
I plan to download the STL file so I can eventually paint the transformation head myself, I guess.

But you still think this will be made and delivered from Pin Jiang? or through some other brand/group?
Hope you don't lose any money (or get something like a Pin Jiang future-coupon in return).

Yes, I've already found out that the STL file itself is, as far as I understand, a freely distributed render, and Fandom Collectibles originally made it for free distribution, so anyone can print Venom.
But this did not cause me disappointment, it is obvious that the chinese without a license do not bother much with where and from whom to take the design.
For me, the most important thing about this particular statue is painting, it's worth paying for, and it's wonderful for this brand. I've seen other works on Pin Jiang's YouTube reviews, there's no doubt about the quality.
In fact, professional painting is the most expensive part, because anyone can print, but not everyone can paint like that.

These are 100% photos (from Hexapus FB) from Pin Jiang and you shouldn't worry, because the render from Fandom Collectibles and the people who printed the STL file doesn't have a fourth tentacle, which is on top, in all versions there are only 3 tentacles, and only Pin Jiang has it, both on promo and and in the photo from the painting process.
I think Pin Jiang added the fourth tentacle as a distinctive part of his version of painting this statue. So that it can be distinguished from professional studio painting and printing an stl file.
As well as the painting completely corresponds to the promo photo, including saliva on Venom's tongue, I found such painting all over the Internet only from Pin Jiang.
I'm sure we have no reason to worry, we are waiting for a gorgeous statue.
When you take a chinese statue without a license, you can expect that he will steal or use a free 3d model, the most important thing is how he eventually implements the most important part, because it seems to me that painting 1/4 of a professional customizer exclusively for you will cost much more than our pre-order.
The most important thing is that the original 3d model was not implemented by another studio (I mean in a physical version, not just as a 3d model) and Pin Jiang is not engaged in recasting, they took a free model and make the best version of this statue. I think it's a good idea.

Another printout by a guy from YouTube. There is also no fourth tentacle here.
Well, this is another proof that, after all, painting is the most important thing, it looks like a bootleg... no offense.

I think Pin Jiang will deliver. But like qz often says, this 'company' is likely just a current incarnation of a loose group of workers (resin pourers, and painters).
I ordered from Hexapus. They are reliable. Very good site to deal with.
