Interesting shipping perspective

We ordered a 34 pound bag of dog food from Chewys.com. Came in a box easily close to the same size as some of the Sideshow boxes. Any guesses what UPS shipping was?

$4.95.

There could be several factors in the cheap shipping price.

1) Chewys account with UPS could be much larger then SS, if so they could negotiate for better prices.
2) Chewys might have a shipping center closer to your house
3) Chewys might factor in some of the shipping costs into the price of the dog food.

All I know for sure is individual shipping is way to expensive... costs me a small fortune to ship a statue, even if it's in the same state..

a box about size of sideshow would cost around $500 to ship to Singapore

This industry has it's customers by the sacks and they know it.

For the shipping prices we pay no one would buy they'd just go local.

I just sold my Bowen Hercules statue on Ebay and shipped it out today. I shipped it to Illinois (I live in Pgh, PA) and it cost $23.45 ($18.95 shipping plus $4.50 for $275 worth of insurance). I did not think that was too bad. That was for 2 day delivery so the person will receive it on Sat.
