Stripping a statue

I found a statue of Cyclops on eBay that I like, except for his paint job and his too small mouth. The seller describes it as being made of fiberglass and resin.

My question is this: can fiberglass be stripped of paint with Easy-Off, the same as resin?

Thanks, guys!

not sure on a reaction between the two. Guess you would need to experiment.

I am sorry for not replying to your answer sooner, Vince-Vell. I had no info to post because I decided not to buy this statue. And I'm so new to this great hobby, it's difficult enought without messing around on an unknown like how the fiberglass would react to the oven cleaner! Ditched it, and later I found a very nice Wolverine Berserker kit to do.
