Like to enquire, compared with the original photos, the production version seems to have a gloss coating over it? Even on the skin tones? It seems to look more glossy than the original photos. Or is it just me?

Thks.

No it's not just you. This is something we are aware and getting fixed. The factory got the colors right but the surface finish is something that needs to be rectified. The clothes need to be matte and skin less glossy for sure. Also the lighting of the photograph amplifies the gloss lol.

Thanks for the heads up HairyAsHell. I was skeptical the color scheme & finishing will be like tht in glossy form. I was blown away by the original prototype colors & matte finishing, but not this glossy form. *sigh of relief

Thanks for the update!

Just out of interest. Is that a sample or were they all glossed?

I guess what I'm really asking is how do you rectify this...if they were all glossed?

That's the sample. Even if what has been produced so far are glossed, it's a matter of applying appropriate matte finish over what's already there.

Even after approval of the paint sample there can be issues like this that pop up durimg production. We already highlighted to the factory to deal with the issues that we are not satisfied with (including the gloss).

We are heading for a final QC check next month to rectify anything else that might pop up. Every single piece will be checked and must meet the expected standards before we ship them out. If all 300 has any issue, all of them needs to fixed. No compromises.

That is one impressive portrait, also gradient effect w/ his hair is a real nice touch.
