After reading up, It seems this takes place 10 years before Spock/Kirk (original series Star Trek) and not the new timeline from the movies. So I doubt will see those actors...

Well actually...Spock was on the Enterprise ten years before Kirk took command, so depending on the year discovery is set we could see very early Spock and Pike, but not Kirk.

Totally agree. I think the Burnham, Spock , Sarek dynamic could work really well for an episode or two.
