Most of the good ones are already listed. Anyone else been watching Southland . . . I've really enjoyed it so far (got another season to watch on DVD yet).
And a blast from the past . . . absolutely love The Young Ones . . . not sure it would appeal to alot of US viewers but it is one of the best comedy series to come out of the UK.

Kicking myself for not already mentioning this but I absolutely love Friday Night Lights. Not a big American Football fan but this show is so much more than the game. Currently on season 4 on Sky Atlantic.
