Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Movies you have changed your mind about
Have you ever seen a movie for the first time and hated it and then saw it again years later and loved it.
I walked out of the movie theatre when I first saw "Life of Brian ". Now I love it and can't understand why I did not like it. It's a classic

Miami Vice
I was expecting something totally different and judged it pretty harshly. In my defense the theatrical edit was a complete mess though. Omitting key secondary character development and killing the entire flow of the film by jumping around in a way that made it hard to follow/appreciate. Once I saw the Director's Cut I fell in love with it though. Its a great film with some amazing performances, solid soundtrack and some inspired Directing by the master of crime dramas Michael Mann.

I wouldn't say hate, but I change my mind about movies all the time. I almost need to see a movie a few times to know what I really think of it.

I was 12 years old when Dragonslayer was in theaters. I didn't hate it, but I was severely bored. Compared to other movies that were out at the time, it didn't have enough action, and no variety in the creature department... just dragons. Having viewed it several times in the last few years, I've completely changed my opinion on it. The story moves at a good pace, it's complete, and the characters are well-defined. I like that it's more grounded in reality than most fantasy movies, with a Dark Ages atmosphere.
It's now one of my favorites.

I really didn't like the critically acclaimed "Atonement" the first time I saw it but I have seen it a couple times since and now I really like it. I can't explain why. Weird.

A Christmas Story, saw it in the theatre when I was 15 and I didn't like it at all. Now every Christmas Eve I'll watch it at least 5 times during that marathon.

Can;t really say I do. If I don't like a movie, I don't see it again. That simple.

Funny you should say that. Typically that is how I feel as well but we often have similar tastes in movies and even though I hated Atonement the first time I saw it I watched it again for the very reason that you said you liked it so much.
