QFT. I own two cats. Only one of them is a consummate 'climber', though, and a couple of times I've found him on a shelf he shouldn't be on, but even then he would just be checking on the 'new spot", not really paying the statues any attention or putting them in any real danger.

Now, the leather furniture, on the other hand...
