Its like a blown up black series. Anybody with a printer can get this done for you same scale.
Paint is meh, mostly plastic ... Values not there.
Way over paid for this unfortunately.
Black series clone trooper helmet literally seems close to the same value. $140. if not, more valuable to the touch.

We all judge our purchases with our own personal preferences and expectations.
It is sold out, I don't think it is going to go down in value and one can flip it if disappointed I would bet for no loss.

The validity of the opinion is not in question just the specifics that led to it.

Hell of a direct follow up post.
TBH, I felt the same way with the $250 1/6 scale of this. It was cheap flimsy plastic and it wasn't long (several weeks) before one of the wire connections broke and needed to be re-soldered.
I didn't feel the value was ever there, yet the bottom line has always been "still, I'm happy to have it."
Value seems to be time dependent. Once it's passed into sunk cost, the sense of poor value seems to ebb quite a bit, even if it won't ever totally go away.
I hope you'll eventually feel the same with this one, Biggunz.

Funny, but the option of returning it never entered my mind.
At that price point, the heart vs head reaction might be weighted almost solely on the head screaming about what a poor value it is. Whether you like the sheer look of it takes a back seat when you feel like you've been screwed as far as price.
The thing is- at least with mine- as long as I didn't touch the 1/6 and just looked at it, I loved it.
Whenever I moved it, or changed the orientation of the head or arms, I was immediately reminded of what piece of cheap jack kit it was, and how outsized the cost seemed for the materials used.
I think it was that piece that put all this stuff into perspective for me. All this (crap) is like a structure built for a movie. It only needs to appear good. What it weighs, the material it's made out of, etc etc...none of that really matters in terms of visual appreciation. The hump to being able to divorce those concerns and simply appreciate it on a visual level is all psychological.
You put this thing under a plexiglass cover and no one (except yourself) will ever know it's cheap plastic (unless it actually has a cheap plastic look/sheen from a foot away). And after a fair amount of time, even you will probably come to view it- by the nature of that kind of premium presentation- as something with more integrity than it actually has.

Granted I've built plastic styrene models my whole life, so just used to that kind of medium. Not to mention a ton of 1/18 plastic aircraft hanging from the ceiling. Details, build and paint quality matter the most. A very detailed plastic kit can get pricey after all, so I'd push back on calling plastic necessarily cheap.
A perfect grade Bandai Falcon kit goes for bank, and it's not built. Granted the Falcon has extreme details to get right... https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/produ...ndetails/64761
