I'm open minded but yeah, I don't have much faith in this. And I'm a big a fan of the DCEU as you will find (though I fully realize its flaws ). What this shouldn't distract you from is that apparently Suicide Squad is getting a second movie. That is a travesty right there.

Why are they changing the ethnicity of Black Canary? If they want a diverse cast, they could have used Vixen. I know Vixen is not part of the Birds of Prey team in the comics but its better than this Hollywood PC-washing of established characters.

It seems to be a trend to ignore black characters instead casting black actors as white characters.
For example you cast Ann Wolfe as an amazonian character.
Is she
A) Nubia
B) Artemis
C) A new character
For some reason B is the answer.

That is very true. The only one I knew that could do it was Robert Downey jr. in Tropic thunder.
