Resizing Images for Profile Pictures

What program should I use to resize images for profile pictures on this forum? I tried doing it free online by pixel (100x100 max), and I tried resizing with Microsoft Office picture manager.

Why is nothing working? I always ensure it is =< 100x100 pixels.

MS paint does the job fairly well.

lol impossible. 100X100 pixels or smaller and it just won't accept it. Ah well... Boourns.

You could just post the image here and ask someone with Photoshop to do it for you =)

Okay, here is the full size version of the pic I am trying to resize and set as my profile picture. Can someone please try to resize it for me? It will be 100x77 pixels when you lock the aspect ratio. A bit of a sharpen would be nice too.

I had nothing better to do, and this is pretty easy =)

First thing though, my CP says I can only use icons sized at 80x80 OR 19.5kb in size at maximum. Since you've been having problems doing this yourself, maybe you got either the dimensions or the file size too big. So I went ahead and made two of each in different sizes (99x99 and 80x80), both versions all under 19.5kb in size.

Second, the image you want is pretty hard to "make nice." So I edited the image in three different crops: Your original image, the image cropped to just his face, and then the image cropped to include some of his body. Pick your poison =)

99x99 (1 pixel smaller just in case the system does some auto calculation and thinks 100x100 is too big)




80x80 (my icon size as ruled by the cp)

EDIT: Oops, I didn't sharpen any of them, lol. You get what you pay for I guess =)
