Does anyone display their statues in a higher quality displays made out of material that is not particleboard? I detest the look and durability of particleboard.

i built my floating shelves with wood, 2x4s, oak and oak plywood, stained. Very strong, 14 lag bolts into the studs.

I had custom display cabinets built by a local cabinetmaker. Much better built, sized, and IMO better looking than IKEA. The picture does not do them justice at all.

^^^^ Looks great congrats. Custom cabinets will always look nicer IMO, but if you have a large number of statues, say 50-60 PFs, you'll need to spending $10K-$15K+ on custom cabinets here in Los Angeles.
