Prometheus Sale Update
The PROMETHEUS poster for sale today is canceled. After we revealed the image yesterday, we were made aware that parts of that design resembled those of another image. We did not know that this was the case and now that we do, we’re pulling the poster.
We’re not down with this type of thing and truly apologize to everyone out there and thank you for letting us know that this happened. You guys are awesome and we really appreciate the heads up and support.

Is it wrong that I really want the print now that its been canceled? Mondo already printed them so maybe they'll give them away randomly with future orders.

I see both sides of it. An artist certainly can't lay claim to a pose, but at the same time the pieces look so similar it still leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Mondo probably did the right thing. But IMO, the LOTR example is 100x more egregious.

Was the LOTR sold through mondo as well? I don't care one way or the other, many artist throughout history have burrowed and built upon each others work, but i would like consistency from the company in the future should a similar issue arise again..

I really wanted that print. This isnt the first time Manev has been pulled on copying other peoples work which is a shame as I collect his prints.

So with this being canceled my question is where are they going to draw the line? To me they've just set a dangerous precedent and opened up future releases to a ton of unnecessary scrutiny.

Picked up the regular before I realized there was a variant. I like the variant better but I'll live with the regular.
