One of my favorite micro-collections is everyone of his DC variants that he did for one month. I pull them just to look at them all the time -

New Frontier was something speacial. I also like his Batman Ego short story. And that amazing The Spirit run... short but so good. I loved his stylistic art and his writting was as good as his art. He was a top notch talent left us too soon, RIP. :/

Seve Rude & Darwyn Cooke remind me, very much of each other. Both seem to be tremendously connected with their strong appriciation of Silver Age' Super Hero comic art, both feel like Romita senior at his very best during Spiderman. Yet, both also feel modern in their ownway. I love them both -
Steve Rude -
Darwyn ( he didn't draw Spidey very much)

.....can't think of more lol...and I know I've omitted some big names that most would consider influential like Kirby and Romita..

The first artist I think of who set the bar are:
- Jack Kirby
- Steve Ditko
- John Buscema
