Extreme was excellent. Love pornograffitti and III Sides...but they're more a 90's band, I'd say.

Didn't like the frontman too much though.

Wow!! Glad to see so much support for the Extreme guys. Did anyone here catch that VH1 Bands reunited where they tried to get them all back together? Bummer that it didn't go through. They're amazing live--I got to see them on the Pornograffiti tour w/ Saigon Kick, and I must say it was one of the best shows that I've seen, still to this day.
Nuno and Gary both have new bands that are trying to "break out" still, but they just went too "alternative" and it really seems sad--just stick to what you know, don't chase trends because they are always faster than what you can keep up with.

What decade of music do you enjoy the most? I'm thinking you weren't listening to the bands of the 80's or 90's.

Def Leppard all the way. They've been my favorite band since '83 when "Pyromania" came out. I picked up "On Through The Night" and "High'N'Dry" after that I've been hooked ever since. "Hysteria" is still a staple in my CD player. I never thought of them as a "hair band" though. They we're around long before the "hair band" craze and they're around long after it. It just so happened that their most popular album hit at the height of hair metal and they got lumped in with the rest. Great live band too!
Just my two cents, but the best album they did after "Hysteria" was "Slang" in '96. A departure from their regular sound but a great album nonetheless.

Van Halen 100%, baby! They may be a joke now, but in the '70s - '80s, there was nothing better. David Lee Roth only, please...
