Right, I wasn't really into anything new bands after the 70's.

The Who is my favorite all-time band and I think their music still holds up today.
I tend to listen to a lot of the "Classic Rock" stations where they will mix in a few of the Doors, Greatful Dead, the Stones and The Who ocasionally.

But I also like Steely Dan, Joe C o c ker, The Eagles, Dire Straits, George Thorogood and lots of others.
No heavy metal, thought.

And I love Motown.
Marvin G a ye is God.
"Stubborn Kind Of Fellow" is perhaps the quintessential soul song of all time.

I too am a VH fan (mostly for the craziness that is Eddie), but I really enjoyed both incarnations--both Roth and Hagar. Why is everybody always bashing Sammy--both guys wrote some amazing songs.

I love the who! Maybe I'll do a favorite 70's band poll too. But, I will need help compiling 10 groups.

What ever happened to Night Ranger?

I wish I remembered ZZ Top when you were looking for 80's hair bands. Their hair is on their chin, but it should still count!

Maybe we need another poll for the 80's - Best Arena Rock Band. I'd include:
Rush
Journey
Genesis
U2
Triumph
Asia
ZZ Top
Can you think of three more deserving?

70's poll could consider:
Who
Kinks
Rolling Stones
Rush
Yes
Ted Nugent
Led Zepplin
Genesis
Crosby Stills Nash and Young

70's? "THE HOTTEST BAND IN THE WORLD!....KISS!!!!!!"

Saw them twice in the last few years, and I challenge anyone to have more fun at any other "artist's" show...

Kiss should definately be on the 70's list. I don't know how I could forget them.

Iron Maiden and Judas Priest should have been on this 80's poll, but at the time they were asking for entries they had slipped my mind as well.
