I suppose we'll find out soon enough. On the Weta website they posted under their Black Friday heading that approx. 40 War Trolls and MoSoS's were left. That page is now gone, but it does fall in line with what Weta told me last week. Not to mention both statues are still available at Secret Compass and BBTS. Of course, that could change in a hurry depending on how many replacements Weta has to deal with. I do know there have been issues with the MoS's steed fitting on the base properly.

I've seen this at comic con and it is a great looking statue. But not $1000 worth. I mean for its edition size, I guess $1000 is reasonable.

I believe the warehouse is in Washington. Hopefully the shipping costs reflect the distance travelled.

Mine shipped yesterday and gets here next Wednesday, snail mail.

Yeah, 2hrs away from me. Can be both a blessing and a curse as I literally have no time to plan intercepting the delivery. Weta doesn't require a signature either so they drop and run, rain or shine.

Mine arrived but unfortunately he won't sit flush in the base.

First impressions QC issue aside and based on the fact I didn't bother unpacking his arms to attach... he's big! Footprint wise he takes up the same amount of space as the Balrog, if not a bit more given his arm span.

Detailing is nice but he's overall a much darker character than I anticipated.

Pose is just average to me. I really wish he wasn't facing down so much and had a bit more forward stare. As is he's going to need to be displayed on high to get a good look at the facial detail and that might prove challenging.

Overall I like it but I'm not blown away like I was with The Mouth of Sauron which arrived less than a month ago. Part of me says return it because it doesn't feel like a piece that's worth 1k. That said my impressions could be clouded by the fact that I didn't fully assemble him due to the issue with him fitting into the base. Had this cost $700 I'd feel a lot better about this one.
