The dialogue and acting was so over the top and just stupid that I turned it off after 30 minutes. I mean, really!?!?

I don't get it, Batman Begins and Dark Knight were so good you figured DC would have learned how to make movies. Guess not, another failure.

I'm thinking that Oscar win for best makeup and hairstyling was a case of quantity over quality.

I disagree. It's biggest competition in the category came from Star Trek Beyond, which had some amazing alien designs. Having said that Killer Croc was more impressive and believable looking than any character in ST3.

I didn't like Killer Croc's look. After he took off his shirt, his body was a little scrawny compared to the size of his head.

Isn't that an issue with character design as opposed to makeup though?

If makeup doesn't include the prosthetics added to the actor's head that made it look too big for his body then yes.
