So what was the point of selling Big Apple Con to Wizard?

If he's just going to have the same show at the same place but just under a different name? What exactly did Wizard get when they bought Big Apple?

Who knows what they paid? They may have paid $5k for it just to get the mailing list of attendees, vendors and local artists.

I imagine it was well more than $5k. The asking price for for the mid-Ohio Con was in the neighborhood of $500k

What's weird is I got an e-mail from Wizard Ent. promoting this show, that's how I knew about it.

The guest list looks pretty solid so far.

The guest list for Wizard shows always look impressive...until you get there and realize most of those 'guests' are not appearing

can't stand Wizard. I am worried about Heroes Con this year since Wizard is always scheduling their Philly show on the same weekend or right next to it. The guest list is looking a little sparse so far at Heroes, there are usually a lot more bigger name artists.

1st it was at the lower east side Armory, now it's back to the Penn Plaza Pavillion.
Make up my mind please.

BTW, I'm going just to kill a day.

Your lucky if guest appear at one of these shows on a regular day....after the snow storm and the airports in chaos, I doubt too many (if any) guest will show.....I'm just going to bag this one. The only 2 people I wanted to see was JH Williams and Iyla Salkind (I've meet all the other guest before)....not worth the trip in to chance them showing up; if anyone goes let me know if they were no shows (just out of curiuosity).
