Nice to see Crispin Glover though.

With the ending of last week's episode, you knew that quite a bit of time was gonna be taken up with Laura & Shadow. Puppy is her nickname for him as explained in last week's episode so of course you will hear it quite a bit. I think her character is great. Mad Sweeney was brill in this episode

Last episode was better but the story doesn't seem to be going anywhere.
Only realised last night that the dead wife was Babydoll in Suckerpunch. Nice to see her acting hasn't improved.

I watched last night's ep. I know I ----- a lot about this show, but I am enjoying it. I think because it's introducing & rolling out gods & deities that I know from reading & learning as a kid & young man, I've always loved mythology & it's fun to guess who a character might be on this show before they're revealed.
On to the complaining - people do not talk like this. 5 to 9 line dialog tennis, with each utterance being cooler, snarkier, more dangerous, & layered than the last. There's no pregnant pauses, no "ummms" no mundane or average anything. For me, it's just one written sentence or paragraph after another. I'm made very aware that what I'm listening to was written by an overly-tattooed table of 20-30 something writers sitting around and trying to outdo each other with cutting edge dialog & shock visuals. The America shown in this series is beyond romanticized. The America shown in gods, died around 1980. I know Gaiman wrote the book on which this show is based on & I do semi-blame him for the romp. I wonder if the America shown in this show is how America is seen by Gaiman?

The Vulcan America is very real IMO, not for everyone of course. The book is fiction so does it have to be so realistic?

I thought the opposite actually. All the characters are starting to blend together& the story threads are starting to weave together.
Am proud that I still have not seen SP. Browning was also in Legend

Of course not & you're more right than I am. I think I'm probably just a bit older than the show's target demo. & I should probably take that more into consideration. Also, I haven't read the book so I don't even know if the dialog is lifted directly off of Gaiman's page. I'm enjoying it.

Younger than me. I'm in my mid-50's I love good dialog & so far, the dialog in AG just doesn't feel authentic to me. I think 20 & 30 something's may be the target. I'm very aware of writing & acting with this show, more so than I am with other similar shows. It feels like writers writing to me. I love when I watch a movie or tv show & I'm completely unaware that people are reciting lines off a page. Still, like I've said, I'm still enjoying it & hope that I'll find a cool rhythm.

I would have thought it was fans of the book when it first came out & Gaiman in General so people aged around you or myself?
