ARRIVED - HCG 1:1 Alien Warrior

So my 1:1 Alien Warrior from HCG arrived today. Despite all of the bad press this has received on other threads I have to admit it is awesome. The paint finish is great (the tendands could have been better) and the stance in person is good once you play around with the arms. Really pleased and would recommend it to any Alien fan.

Companies just can't get the mouth tendons right. I would have to darken those down some so that they didn't look so rubberband-y. Looks nice otherwise.

Agreed .... however you don't pay too much attention because the sheer presence of this is just staggering - HCG did a great job on the paint finish just a shame they couldn't mimic this on the tendons

Sorry, I'm just not feeling it. It looks horrible to me, all around. For one, that coolprops bust looks amazing compared to this head. For two, it just looks so stubby in the pose. It kills it for me. But I don't believe you are wrong for liking it. It works for you and that's fine by me. 1:1 aliens just aren't for me, I think. It takes away from the movie versions too much. They are supposed to be not so perfect in appearance and crawling. This here is just...too perfect, museum style.

The pose is great. Everything else looks cheap. Glad I didn't order

There's no accounting for taste bro. I love mine too. Haters gonna hate. I like the simplified stylised mouth with chrome teeth rather than the sticky gooey, painty look of the saliva spits in the Coolprops but that't just me. Coolprops looks like a big sticky lolly to me. Makes me want to put a bib on it and wipe its chin.

Coolprops is nice but a different approach altogether.

Both are cool but different tastes.

Welcome to the club man

The head looks pretty bad to me. It's ok and love the size but the tendons are so big and make it look almost comical.

And they were bad enough. HCG are such a hit and miss company. It's a shame as they attempt to make some products that could be quite exciting.

I liked the one that was originally used to promote it. The head picture.
